In case you were wondering, I will not be clerking next year. This is a good thing, as the process nearly cost me my fiancĂ©. I’m not exaggerating and I’m not going to go into detail about a deeply personal relationship issue. So let me say simply that I’m happy it’s all over, excited to grow up a little bit and settle down. It might not seem like a happy ending to you, but it does to me.
In other news, TF and I finally had the time to take him to see Transformers in IMAX, which he has been whining about for some time. I loved Transformers growing up (although my personal collection was mostly the cheaper knock-off Gobots) and it was exactly what I expected it to be, which is to say a big ol blow’ em up real-life cartoon. There was one scene when some cars just started exploding spontaneously, I think (at least, I couldn’t figure out why they were on fire). There was also only one female voice in the chorus of “Ohhh yeah’s” when that big ol’ bright red semi truck first came barreling down the highway. And yes, it was mine.

Hey Hermano!
I'm off for my birthday vacation tomorrow. This is not a post apologizing or warning for the service interruption, because , well... duh, I think you know who you're talking to.
Anyway, it will be flights #1 and 2 of the 5 flights I have this month (the sixth being on Oct. 1st, so I can't count it). I went back and counted and they will also be flights #15 and 16 of the year. Lordy.
Umms, what else?
School has started, technically. I've only had a couple of classes because I try to stay out of classrooms as much as possible. In fact today I've barely made it off the couch. I do have an assignment from my externship sitting in front of me, so it's not terribly lazy.
Clerkships calls, as you likely know, are/were going out. I'm happy to say that my handful of half-assed applications garnered some mild interest. We'll see how the month plays out, but
I'm not holding my breath.
The five pounds I gained this summer are still here, give or take about a pound. I've been working with my birthday kettlebells from T.F. Shock horror shock, I got something exercise-related. I don't know if I ever explained what T.F. specializes in, and it's kind of hard to explain kettlebells, so I usually just show people this video. It's not the workshop that TF attended, but it's the same terrible torture he endured for three days, kicks, bandages, and all.
Anyway, point is I am SORE. S.O.R.E.
I guess that's all I have. Back to my daytime tv!
