In the past twenty-four hours, I:

Dropped my student ID into the toilet
Was offered summer employment
Was surprised by my sister who TF had flown into town for my birfday
Got another callback
Surprised TF with a new computer
Found out my sister was accepted to graduate school in AUSTRALIA!
Found out my sister knows very little about AUSTRALIA! (“They have mountains?”)
Started planning a trip to AUSTRALIA! for Spring Break 08
Realized that in a span of about 6 months in ’08, I will go to AUSTRALIA!, graduate law school, move back to my hometown, take the bar as my sister finishes her masters degree, and get married.
Asked my mother if she was physically able to handle all this (“[nervous laugher]”)
Got drunk
Prepared for an interview (drunken handwriting = illegible the morning after) (surprisingly, drunken ironing of shirt? Not too shabby.)
Realized all good suits were left at parents’ house to be cleaned, leaving me with gray suit with front slit
Thought it would be fine
Sat down in gray suit and noticed entirely too much tootie, entirely too late to fix it
Went to said interview with portfolio grasped tightly to front of said skirt.

[Shrug]

I’d say it was a good day.
